Psquare: ‘Anyone who can divert his brother’s funds, can kill him’ – Izu Obasi

Date:

Social media commentator, Izu Obasi has waded into the long-running feud between the Okoye brothers, claiming that anyone capable of allegedly diverting funds from his twin brother and then publicly denying it could be capable of even more extreme actions.

The remark, shared in a viral video, has fuelled fresh debate across social media about the ongoing family dispute involving former P-Square members Peter and Paul Okoye and their elder brother, Jude Okoye.

Obasi said, “Anybody who can betray and divert his brother’s funds, can kill him if the need arises.”

The Okoye family crisis has remained in the spotlight following allegations of financial misconduct, royalty disputes, and the alleged diversion of company funds.

Recall that daily post reported that Peter Okoye (Mr P) had previously accused Jude Okoye, the group’s former manager, of excluding him from parts of the group’s earnings and financial decisions.

Jude had repeatedly denied wrongdoing while legal proceedings linked to some of the allegations have continued in court.

Reacting to the controversy, Obasi argued that betrayal within a family can be more painful than disputes involving strangers, a statement that quickly gained traction online.

The comment has divided fans, with some supporting Peter’s claims and others insisting that the matter should be resolved privately rather than in the public eye.

As discussions continue, many fans are expressing disappointment that one of Africa’s most celebrated music families remains entangled in a dispute that has lasted for years, despite previous attempts at reconciliation.

“Family disputes hit differently when money and trust are involved,” he added.
