Cristiano Ronaldo has returned to Madrid after announcing his departure from the Portugal national team camp on Wednesday.
This was disclosed by football transfer expert, Fabrizio Romano in a post on X.
Ronaldo landed at 2 a.m. local time after officially withdrawing from the Portugal national team squad.
The Al-Nassr forward decided to leave the Portugal national team camp after a discussion with Pedro Proença, President of the Portuguese Football Federation.
Ronaldo will not participate in the upcoming fixtures against Denmark and Norway in the UEFA Nations League.
The 41-year-old featured in the match against Wales, where one of his goals was ruled out.
The five-time Ballon d’Or winner was an unused substitute during Portugal’s recent victory over Norway.
