The Theatre Arts and Motion Pictures Practitioners Association of Nigeria has appreciated Nigerians and others who supported its members during the illness and death of veteran actor, Taiwo Hassan, popularly known as Ogogo.

The association, in a statement signed by its Global President, Bolaji Amusan, popularly known as Mr Latin, thanked people for their prayers, calls, messages, visits and other forms of support during Ogogo’s illness and demise.

“On behalf of TAMPAN GLOBAL, we sincerely appreciate everyone for your prayers, calls, messages, visits, and support during our beloved Ogogo’s brief illness and demise.

“Your love and solidarity mean so much to us. Thank you all for standing with us. May God bless you,” the statement read.

Ogogo died on Sunday, August 23, at the age of 66. His death was announced by fellow actor Jide Kosoko.

The veteran actor was buried in his hometown, Ilaro, Ogun State, on Monday according to Islamic rites.

Several colleagues and associates from the entertainment industry attended the burial, including Yinka Quadri, Jide Kosoko, Faithia Williams, Femi Adebayo, Dele Odule and Mr Latin.

TAMPAN’s appreciation followed the outpouring of support for Ogogo and his family during his illness and after his death.

The association, through Mr Latin, expressed gratitude to those who stood by the actor and his loved ones during the period.
