Belgian club Zulte Waregem have completed the signing of Nigerian youngster Maliq Musa, Completesports.com reports.
Musa joined De Boeren from Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) side Ikorodu City on loan, with the Belgian outfit retaining an option to make the move permanent.
Zulte Waregem reportedly beat off competition from Spanish giants Barcelona and a number of other top European clubs to secure the services of the highly rated youngster.

The Nigerian will initially link up with Jong Essevee, the club’s U-23 side, where he will continue his development and adapt to Belgian football before challenging for a place in the first team.
Musa made nine league appearances for Ikorodu City last season, contributing one goal and one assist.
“Maliq was immediately convinced by our project here at Essevee,” begins assistant coach Davy De fauw.
“Maliq has enormous qualities, but he is still very young, so we will take the necessary time to allow him to develop further. We are convinced that he will be well supported at Essevee to successfully take this new step in his career.”
